Secretary-General of ASEAN delivers pre-recorded remarks at the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) Forum 2025
Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered pre-recorded opening remarks at the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) Forum 2025 with the theme "Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Indo-Pacific" held on 15 November 2025. The Forum is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia, in collaboration with the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Dr. Kao emphasised how the AOIP helped foster constructive dialogue and cooperation, building strategic trust among countries in the Indo-Pacific region. He also highlighted sustainability aspects of the AOIP, providing a holistic approach across pillars. Moving forward, Dr. Kao underscored the need to continue upholding inclusivity and sustainability in advancing the implementation of the AOIP.
