MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ - With approximately 50 days of summer remaining on August 3, Middlesex County is encouraging residents and visitors to make the most of the season by exploring the County's wide variety of free and affordable experiences. From live concerts and theater performances to Revolutionary War history, gardening workshops, parks, farms, and outdoor recreation, there are countless ways for people of all ages to enjoy everything Middlesex County has to offer before summer comes to a close.

"Summer is the perfect time for people to explore their interests, spend time outdoors, and create lasting memories with family and friends," said Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios. "Prioritizing quality of life, Middlesex County continues to invest in experiences that are affordable, accessible, and enriching for everyone. Whether you're discovering local history, attending a live performance, visiting one of our parks, or exploring a local farm, I encourage everyone to take advantage of the incredible opportunities available throughout the County this summer."

STEP INTO MIDDLESEX COUNTY'S HISTORY

Learn about the County's rich history through exhibits, historical sites, and activities for history buffs of all ages.

• Caught in the Crossfire: Divided Loyalties in Middlesex County Exhibit at the Cornelius Low House Museum features never-before-exhibited artifacts, archival materials, interactive displays, and commissioned artwork exploring the County's role during the American Revolution. The exhibition runs through December 31, 2028.
• East Jersey Old Town Village offers free living history experiences where visitors can tour historic buildings and interact with historical interpreters.

Additionally, residents and visitors can explore historic sites throughout the County using the Middlesex County History Guide, which features self-guided activities, Revolutionary-era stories, and local landmarks.
