Town of Hume - Rte 19 & Associates Gravel Pit

Negative Declaration

Allegany County - The New York State Department of Enviromental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Route 19 & Associates Gravel Pit will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of approximately 96.7 acres for mining of sand and gravel to the Rte. 19 & Associates Gravel Pit facility, presently permitted for 20.4 acres. The proposed expansion area is located north of the existing Rte 19 & Associates Gravel Pit facility. The hours of operation would remain the same as presently permitted. Upon reclamation, this expansion site would consist of approximately 49.3 acres of meadow, 35.0 acres of agricultural land, 9.4 acres of pond, and 3.0 acres of access road. The project is located at Merwin Road. - West Side and Northeast of Flanagan Road in the Town of Hume, New York.
