BNSF Coal 2026 Memorial Day Operating Plan

This year, the Memorial Day holiday falls on Monday, May 25. Coal trains - both loaded and empty - will continue to operate according to regular schedules.
For questions regarding coal unit trains, please email [email protected], which will be staffed on the holiday. Additionally, customers can log in to the BNSF Customer Portal and open a Message Us case by selecting Unit Train in the business segment field and Unit Coal in the reason field.
