Tampa, FL (April 11, 2026) - Tampa Police have arrested one person in connection with a homicide.

Diego Ponce-Molina (DOB: 9/24/1984) has been charged with Murder in the First Degree With a Weapon after a man's body was found in the 800-block of E. Zack Street.

On Friday April 10, 2026, shortly before 4:00pm, officers responded to a call about an unresponsive individual. When officers arrived, they located an adult male with injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

Ponce-Molina was still on the scene when officers arrived and taken into custody. Through investigative means, detectives were able to determine Ponce-Molina approached and assaulted the victim without any apparent interaction or confrontation.

The victim has not been positively identified yet.
