Nighttime Lane Closures at the Newark Toll Plaza
Newark - ; The Delaware Department of Transportation announces nighttime lane closures at the Newark Toll Plaza southbound E-ZPass lanes on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM. A rain date is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM.
The closures is necessary to replace a loop lead-in wire used to support the E-ZPass toll collection system. Work includes saw-cutting operations, wire installation, splicing, and testing.
Motorists should use caution, expect minor delays, and follow posted signage and directions through the work zone.
