The public is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Robbieburr Berger Park Thursday, November 19. The new park is proudly named in honor of Fairfield's first-ever city councilmember, Robbieburr Berger, dedicating this expansive community space to a historic legacy of civic service. The free, family-friendly event will give residents a chance to explore the park's premier outdoor amenities. |
The newly developed grounds feature active recreation spaces for all ages, including courts for basketball, futsal, volleyball, and pickleball, alongside a running track, soccer fields, and two distinct playgrounds designed for children ages 2-5 and 5-12.
Attendees are also invited to tour the on-site Robbieburr Berger Recreation Center. Developed in partnership with the First 5 Solano Children and Families Commission, the facility is designed to support children and families in one convenient location. The center will provide early childhood and parenting education, while connecting residents to essential services such as housing, employment, food assistance, and health care. Representatives from First 5 Solano partner agencies will be at the grand opening to share information about these community resources.
During the celebration, families can enjoy interactive community activities, including exploring a local fire truck and visiting the Fairfield Police Department, which will bring its Frosty 5-0 ice cream van.
