Caring for a person living with dementia is a meaningful journey that can bring both rewards and challenges for caregivers and families. The National Alzheimer's and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) is hosting "Caring with Confidence: Building Resilience for Dementia Caregivers," a webinar during which Oakwood Creative Care will highlight how its Alzheimer's Disease Programs Initiative grant from ACL is expanding innovative caregiver support services that foster resilience, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections.
Presenters will provide an overview of Oakwood's mission, the communities it serves across Arizona, and its expanded commitment to supporting caregivers of people living with dementia. Participants will learn about Resilient Together, Oakwood's six-week support program designed to help caregivers, care partners, and families build resilience through emotional support, grief resources, practical guidance, and opportunities for connection.
Through real-world examples and case studies, attendees will explore how resilience-based approaches can empower caregivers, strengthen family relationships, enhance well-being, and help families navigate the dementia journey with greater confidence and support.
NADRC webinars are free and open to the public. Registration is required. Webinars are recorded and posted on the NADRC website. Live events and recordings include closed captioning. If you have questions, please email [email protected].
Funded by ACL, NADRC provides support to ACL and its grantees to implement evidence-based interventions and innovative practices that empower and assist caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.
