Chinese Ambassador to Ireland Zhao Xiyuan Attends the Eighth Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution

On January 28, Ambassador Zhao Xiyuan attends the Eighth Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. Delegates from more than 50 countries and international organizations attend the meeting and focus on the discussion of the lessons learned from the Northern Ireland peace process and actions that the international community can take in support of the two-State solution.

Ambassador Zhao said, China attaches great importance to the Palestinian question, firmly supports the just cause of Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights. Under the current situation, the momentum of ceasefire in Gaza must be maintained, the principle of "the Palestinians governing Palestine" must be upheld, the two-State solution must remain the path forward. China is ready to work with the international community to make positive contributions to end the fighting in Gaza, ease the humanitarian crisis, assist Palestine in achieving internal reconciliation, and implement the two-State solution.
