Registration Now Open for Parks and Recreation Winter Team Sports

The Parks and Recreation Department today announced that registration is now open for winter team sports, including adult and youth basketball. Adult leagues are for those age 18 and older and out of high school. Youth basketball leagues are for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Online registration is available at https://www.teamsideline.com/lincolnne. Registrations and fees may also be delivered to the Team Sports Office, 3131 "O" St, Suite 300, Lincoln, NE, 68510. The winter leagues are as follows:

Adult basketball - Men's competitive and recreational games are played Monday through Thursday, and women's open division games are played on Wednesdays at Belmont and Irving Recreation centers. The eight-game season and double elimination tournament is played November through February with no games over the holiday break. Regular team registration is $510, and the deadline is October 12. Late team registration is $547 from October 13 through 19.

Jr. NBA Youth Basketball League - The eight-game season runs December 5 through February 14. Games are played on Friday nights and Saturday mornings at Belmont, Calvert and Airpark Recreation Centers with practices once a week. Girls' and boys' divisions are offered for players age kindergarten/first grade and second/third grade. Players in fourth and fifth grade will play coed divisions. The deadline for regular registration is October 13. Fees are $98 for the first child, $93 for each additional child in same family. Late registration is October 14 through 20. Fees are $108 for the first child, and $103 for each additional child in same family. The fees include an official Jr. NBA youth reversible game jersey.

Adult volleyball - Women's competitive and recreational games are played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Men's leagues on Monday, and Coed league games are played on Thursdays. Games are played at Calvert Recreation Center and Lux Middle School. The eight-game season and double elimination tournament is played December through February with no games over the holiday break. Regular team registration is $327 October 6 through November 16.

Adult Indoor Kickball - Coed competitive and recreational games are played Sundays. Games are played at Calvert and Irving Recreation Centers. The six-game season and double elimination tournament is played December through February with no games over the holiday break and Super Bowl. Regular team registration is $268 from October 6 through November 16.
