WHEELING, W.Va., October 2 - Wheeling University will crown its Homecoming King and Queen Saturday, Oct. 4, during half time of its football game against West Virginia Wesleyan.
Five women and five men from the senior class have been chosen by their peers to serve on this year's court. The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced during halftime festivities.
The 2025 Homecoming Queen candidates are listed below:
Ashleigh Aston is a pre-med major from Saginaw, Texas. She is a member of the Cardinal acrobatics and tumbling team.
Samantha Faulkner is a Nursing major and Psychology minor from Erie, Pennsylvania. She is the captain of the women's soccer team and the team's Student Athletic Advisory Committee representative. Faulkner is also a resident assistant and a member of the Campus Activities Board.
Avery Henschen is an Accounting major from New Knoxville, Ohio. She is a member of the Cardinal Volleyball team.
Caitlin Oltman is a Biology and Criminal Justice major from Fairmont, West Virginia. She is the president of Student Government and a member of the swim team, Biology Club and Campus Ministry.
Kierra Warrix is a Criminal Justice major from Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a member of the Cardinal softball team.
The 2025 Homecoming King Candidates are listed below:
Curtis Harrison is a Communications major from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a member of the men's basketball team and founded a non-profit organization called Sole Bros.
Caleb Murray is a Business Management major from Beallsville, Ohio. He is a member of the men's basketball team.
Brayden Scott is a Business Marketing major from Charleston, West Virginia. He is a member of the men's soccer team and a resident assistant. Scott is also the president of the Campus Activities Board, a member of Student Senate and involved in Campus Ministry.
Connor Wong is an Exercise Science major from Apex, North Carolina. He is a member of the Cardinal baseball team.
Owen Worley is a Biology major from Plano, Texas. He is a member of the men's lacrosse team and serves as the team's representative to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.Also Saturday, the
Wheeling University Athletic Department will induct its 2025 Hall of Fame class during a ceremony that morning. This year's honorees include 10 individuals and one team.
