Gilbert PD Fatal Collision Investigation | September 19, 2025

Gilbert, Ariz. - The Gilbert Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on the evening of Friday, September 19, 2025, shortly before 9:00 PM. The collision occurred at the intersection of South Recker Road and East Ray Road.

One driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Two individuals in the second vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene. All parties involved are adults. Preliminary findings suggest that impairment may have been a contributing factor, however, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.

The intersection of South Recker Road and East Ray Road is expected to remain closed in all directions as the investigation continues through the overnight hours.
