AAJ Urges Senate Lawmakers to Protect American Farmers and Oppose Dangerous Pesticide Immunity Language in Farm Bill

AAJ Urges Senate Lawmakers to Protect American Farmers and Oppose Dangerous Pesticide Immunity Language in Farm Bill

March 05,2026
WASHINGTON, DC-American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen issued the following statement on the House Committee on Agriculture Markup of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026:
"Across the country, Americans are seeking justice against corporations that profit from dangerous chemicals that cause severe illness and death. But if the Farm Bill passed by the House Agriculture Committee today becomes law, pesticide manufacturers would be given a free pass from legal responsibility for the farmers and families they have hurt.
"While pesticide immunity bills pushed by corporate chemical companies have been overwhelmingly rejected in red and blue states alike, chemical companies are still pushing for federal legislation to deprive Americans of their right to hold them accountable. We urge the Senate to reject this measure."
