Mesquite Swears-in New City Councilmember for District 4

The City of Mesquite has sworn-in their newest Councilmember, after a runoff election held on December 13 for District 4. Andrew Hubacek took his oath of office earlier tonight at Mesquite City Hall and joined his fellow Councilmembers for the rest of the meeting.

This is Hubacek's first term on the Mesquite City Council, which runs from 2025-2027. The full Mesquite City Council consists of: Mayor Daniel Alem á n Jr., Jeff Casper from District 1; Kenny Green from District 2; Elizabeth Rodriguez-Ross from District 3; Andrew Hubacek from District 4; B.W. Smith from District 5; and Brandon Murden from District 6.

Preceding Hubacek in the District 4 spot was Tandy Boroughs, who had termed out from the seat, after serving on the Council for the past eight years. His final meeting was Monday, December 15.
