The Frontier Summit: Tokyo- Nature & The Machine

TOKYO, JAPAN - May 20-22, 2026 - Over three day in Tokyo, leaders from AI, space, deep tech, policy, finance, and culture came together for The Frontier Tokyo 2026, hosted by Type One Ventures.

Held at Happo-en, a 400-year-old sanctuary, during one of the most transformative moments in global technology, this year's summit explored the emergence of a Deep Tech SuperCycle shaped by artificial intelligence, advanced computation, Space, orbital infrastructure, autonomous systems, next-generation manufacturing, and global capital realignment.

What made Frontier unique was not only the conversations but the people in the room. Founders, investors, policymakers, scientists, creatives, operators, and institutional leaders from across the United States, Europe, Japan, and APAC gathered to discuss how we collectively build the future responsibly, strategically, and collaboratively.

From discussions surrounding the Deep Tech Super Cycle, AI as foundational infrastructure, the future of space economies, quantum computing, and cross-border alliances, to intimate private dinners, immersive experiences, and cultural programming, Frontier was designed to bridge industries, geographies, and generations of leadership.

Tokyo felt especially symbolic. A city where nature and the machine coexist seamlessly.

A very special thank you to the brilliant minds who shared their expertise and thought leadership throughout Day 2: Darius Shahida, Zenia Tata, Dr. Koichi Wakata, Kay Firth-Butterfield, Dr. Simran Chana, Dr. Prag Mishra, Ramsay Brown, Declan Clowry, Shuichi Ichimura, PhD Shinichi Takata, Takashi Yokoyama, MBA, and The Honorable Mr. Yuichiro Tamaki.
