On June 8, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met in Sarajevo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia, Timcho Mucunski.
During discussion, the excellent cooperation between the two countries was confirmed, alongside with the mutual assessment that bilateral relations are based on stability, trust and European values. It was emphasized that there are no open issues, which represents a solid foundation for further development of the political dialogue and regional connection.
The ministers exchanged opinions on the process of European integrations and challenges that the countries in the region are facing. It was underlined that the European integrations represent not only a political goal, but also an opportunity to strengthen economic development, stability and security. It was pointed out that the exchange of experiences and continuous cooperation can contribute to faster progress and creating better perspectives for citizens.
The Minister Mucunski reiterated the support of the Republic of North Macedonia to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European and Euro-Atlantic path, as well as staunch support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was jointly emphasized that the friendly relations and exchange of visits on all levels are of significant importance for further development of cooperation and achieving common goals.
