The Mesa Police Department will join the East Valley DUI Task Force during the Fourth of July holiday weekend to help keep our roads safe. DUI saturation patrols will be conducted throughout the Independence Day weekend, from Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5. Officers will be deployed from multiple command post locations across the East Valley.
The mission of the East Valley DUI Task Force is to reduce impaired driving and prevent crashes, injuries, fatalities, and property damage caused by alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers.
Funding for the East Valley DUI Task Force is provided through a grant from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
The Mesa Police Department encourages everyone to celebrate responsibly. If you plan to drink or use impairing substances, designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service, or make other safe transportation arrangements before you head out.
If you observe reckless, unsafe, or suspected impaired driving, please report it to your local law enforcement agency. For non-emergency incidents within Mesa, call the Mesa Police Department's non-emergency line at 480-644-2211.
