Walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics are returning to the community this year. Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will host two clinics next week:
The updated flu vaccine will be available to all residents, with or without insurance. A high-dose flu shot is available specifically for those aged 65 and older. For self-pay residents, the cost of the flu vaccine is $40 and the cost of the high-dose flu vaccine for those aged 65 and older is $85.
Residents with insurance can receive the COVID-19 vaccine for ages 6 months and older. PHHS is working with the State of Missouri to secure the COVID-19 vaccine for uninsured individuals. For self-pay residents, the COVID vaccine is $125.
The PHHS clinic accepts cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks and can bill various insurance plans through a system known as VaxCare. PHHS is out of network for some insurance plans. Please check with your insurance company for more information.Receipts will be available upon request.
