Panama City, October 17, 2025. - With a focus on sustainable development and people's well-being, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) conducted a supervisory visit to the Gorgas Campus Phase I Project and the Arraiján and La Chorrera Districts Sanitation Program (PSACH), to see firsthand the progress of two initiatives that are transforming the country's reality.
During the visit, the Bank's teams toured the Gorgas Campus construction site, an infrastructure that will become the heart of scientific research and public health in Panama. The project, which is currently 12% complete, will strengthen the country's capacity to detect, study, and respond to infectious diseases, as well as promote the training of new professionals and scientific cooperation in the region.
CAF also noted the progress of the Water and Sanitation Program in Arraiján and La Chorrera, which seeks to improve the quality of life of more than 250,000 people through more efficient and secure access to basic services. The works are already showing visible results in the communities, contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for Panamanian families.
These projects go beyond infrastructure: they represent well-being, development, and opportunities for thousands of people. Each advance reflects CABEI's commitment to continue supporting Panama in its growth, promoting initiatives that have a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.
