Invitation to Participate: 2026-2027 I Was First Too faculty, staff and administrator cohort
Community Engagement and Belonging, Office of Wednesday May 13, 2026
The Office of Community Engagement & Belonging invites faculty, staff and administrators to participate in the 2026-2027 I Was First Too cohort. This initiative supports first-generation students at Georgia College & State University by connecting them with faculty and staff who can serve as advocates, mentors and visible champions of student success.
Nationally, first-generation students make up 54% of all undergraduate students, representing more than 8.2 million students across the country.
Through this experience, participants help foster belonging, connection and support for students navigating the college experience. To express your interest, please click the following link.
