Convicted Felon Arrested With Stolen Items, Fake Tags & Handgun Inside Vehicle

TITANS Unit detectives arrested a 35-year-old convicted felon Thursday night who was in possession of a handgun and several stolen materials from victims.

Dandre Riley was named in eight outstanding warrants when detectives took him into custody on Sylvan Street. He was in possession of a key fob to a Nissan parked nearby, where inside detectives located a handgun as well as several stolen credit cards, drivers' licenses and fake temporary license plates.

Detectives also found a debit card and driver's license that was reported stolen at the beginning of the month from a vehicle burglary in a parking garage on 2nd Avenue North. Riley was already identified as the suspect who proceeded to use that stolen card at multiple East Nashville businesses immediately after the burglary.

Riley was charged Thursday night with four counts of identity theft, motor vehicle burglary, theft, evading arrest, and driving on a suspended license. Additional warrants are anticipated.

He remains jailed today on $84,000 bond.
