CMS Publishes Preliminary CY 2026 HHVBP Annual Performance Reports

On October 1, 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the preliminary Calendar Year 2026 Annual Performance Reports (CY 2026 APRs) for the expanded Home Health Value Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model on iQIES. The CY 2026 APRs provide home health agencies with the Annual Payment Percentage (APP) based on their performance in the CY 2025 performance year. The APP will be applied to Medicare Fee-for-Service claims with through dates in the CY2027 payment year. The CY 2026 APRs also provide information related to performance on key metrics that feed into the APP.

If a home health agency did not submit a recalculation request for their preview APR by September 4, they cannot request another recalculation of their preliminary APR. The deadline for reconsideration request for the CY 2026 APRs is October 16, and the deadline for submitting a request for Administrator review for the CY 2026 APRs is November 5. Once the reconsideration and Administrator review processes conclude, CMS will issue final APRs for all providers.
