We're continuing our newly launched series that celebrates the women across our business who are helping shape the future of tech.
This series shares a Q&A with one of our colleagues, offering a glimpse into their journey, the projects they're proud of, and the advice they'd give to others starting out in the industry. These aren't just stories, they're reflections of the values we live by: Progression, Integrity, Collaboration, and Ownership.
Today we have been speaking with Razzel Amante, Privacy & Quality Systems Manager.
Q1. What inspired you to pursue a career in tech?
A. My journey began with my grandfather, a software engineer who ignited my passion for technology. Starting with a foundation in electrical and electronic engineering. I explored various roles in hardware engineering, technical support and data analyst, before embracing my true calling in legal and compliance tech.
Q2. What does your current role involve, and what do you love most about it?
A. As a Privacy and Quality Systems Manager, I am fortunate to merge my technical expertise with my commitment to legal compliance. I thrive on exploring new privacy, cybersecurity, and AI regulations and integrating them into my work. My commitment is to integrate privacy-by-design into the core of our new products and platforms.
Q3. What does an inclusive workplace look like to you?
A. An inclusive workplace is one where every voice is heard, valued, and respected, regardless of gender or ethnicity. In my broad role, engaging seamlessly with every part of the business, I've been amazed by the welcoming and collaborative spirit at Tracsis, even in my first month.
Q4. What would you say to help someone take the next step in their career at Tracsis?
A. A key insight from my path has been that it is never 'too late' to take the next step, nor is it too excessive to shift direction. From what I have learnt since I started, Tracsis has always fostered a culture of learning, welcome curiosity, and provide ample support for those willing to seek it and put in the effort. So, my advice? Simple: pursue what excites you, engage with colleagues across Tracsis, utilise HiBob to discover new opportunities, and do not limit yourself based on your starting point.
Q5. Which of our 4 values (Progression, Integrity, Collaboration and Ownership) are important to you and why?
A. Progression is essential in my experience. My career path has not been straightforward, and each step has built on the previous one. At Tracsis, I have observed that progression means continuous learning and development, not just moving up in titles. This approach has enabled many people I have met at Tracsis, including me to change direction and grow without being limited by their starting point.
And that wraps up our latest Women in Tech interview. We hope you enjoyed reading this one and hopefully taken something away from it. Make sure to keep an eye out for the next one. Until next time!
