Avrey Hansell Advances Through STEP Program

Avrey Hansell will complete the Shareholder Training and Enrichment Program (STEP) in July 2026. Following his participation in BSNC's internship program, Hansell transitioned into STEP to continue developing his career within the corporation.

STEP provides shareholders, descendants, and shareholder spouses with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, strengthen professional skills, and develop leadership capabilities through management, apprenticeship, and vocational training pathways.

Hansell participated in the internship program for four years, where he gained experience in Project Controls. Today, he serves as a Project Controls Analyst, developing scalable solutions that support BSNC's Central Companies and contribute to operational efficiency across the organization. In 2027, Hansell will earn a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Hansell's Inupiaq name is Quiqpup. His parents are Ann Asicksik and Jeffery Hansell, and his grandparents are Kipi and Paul Asicksik Sr. and Jerry and Sue Hansell.
