Tempe This Week March 30, 2026

We recently installed a new signalized crosswalk on Warner Road at the Kyrene Canal Pathway to prioritize safer street crossings for all non-motorized road users.

The community, staff and City Council saw a need for an easier, more comfortable route for all residents and visitors crossing the major roadway, and now, bike riders and pedestrians in the neighborhood can use this signal to stop east and westbound vehicle traffic and safely cross the street to reach schools, shopping areas, restaurants and parks.

This project supports the growing multi-modal transportation system and Tempe's Vision Zero Plan, which aims to prevent fatalities and serious injuries on our roadways.
