City Council Invites Community Engagement: Serve on the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Advisory Board

The City Council is currently seeking applications for volunteer positions as Alternate Members for the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Advisory Board. Members of the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Advisory Board are appointed by the City Council for terms of three (3) years, unless filling an unexpired vacancy. Responsibilities of the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Advisory Board include reviewing matters pertaining to the planning, development, improvement, beautification, equipping and maintenance of the public parks, playgrounds, programs, urban forest, recreation facilities, and resources Including golf courses and cemeteries.

Applicants must reside within the City of Colorado Springs and be interested in the development of the park, trail, open space, recreation, resources, and facilities of the community.

MeetingTime:The 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:30 a.m.

Vacancies:

• Three (3) Alternate members (must reside in Colorado Springs city limits)
