06/18/2026 - Traffic Impact: Asphalt Repairs on Washington Street

Asphalt Repairs: Monday, June 22, 2026
City of Olympia crews will perform asphalt repairs on Washington Street between 4th and 5th Avenues on Monday, June 22. Work will begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 2:00 p.m.

Traffic impacts will occur throughout the work period. Please note, timeframes are approximate:
  • From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., both northbound and southbound lanes on Washington Street between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue will be closed.
  • From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the northbound lane will remain closed while crews complete repairs and paving operations.
  • Limited northbound street parking will be available during construction.
  • Alleys in the work area will be closed to through traffic.
Businesses in the area will remain open and sidewalks will remain accessible for pedestrians. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes. Please follow all traffic control signs.
