Press Ganey’s Nicole George named Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing

Prestigious honor recognizes nursing leader advancing workforce excellence, nursing leadership, and better patient care

Nicole George, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, Vice President and Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Press Ganey, has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), joining the Academy's 2026 Class of Fellows.

Fellowship in the American Academy of Nursing is one of nursing's highest professional distinctions, recognizing leaders whose sustained contributions have advanced healthcare through practice, research, education, leadership, and policy. Fellows are selected through a rigorous peer-review process and represent some of the profession's most accomplished leaders dedicated to improving health outcomes and shaping the future of healthcare.

"Nicole is deeply committed to advancing the nursing profession and creating environments where both nurses and patients can thrive," said Jeffrey N. Doucette, DNP, RN, FACHE, FAAN, Chief Nursing Officer at Press Ganey. "She brings together operational expertise, evidence-based practice, and a genuine passion for developing nurse leaders. Just as importantly, she never loses sight of the fact that investing in nurses ultimately improves the care patients receive. Her election as a Fellow is well deserved and reflects the meaningful impact she continues to make across healthcare."

At Press Ganey, George partners with health systems across the United States and internationally to address some of healthcare's most pressing nursing challenges, including workforce engagement, resilience, retention, leadership development, and nursing excellence. Through evidence-based strategies, real-time listening, and advanced analytics, she helps healthcare organizations strengthen nursing practice environments, improve caregiver engagement, and deliver better patient outcomes.

Before joining Press Ganey, George held leadership roles with the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Recognition Program®, where she worked alongside chief nursing officers and healthcare organizations pursuing nursing excellence. She is also a nationally recognized speaker, published author, and thought leader whose work focuses on nursing leadership, workforce resilience, workplace culture, and the connection between caregiver and patient experience.

George will be formally inducted into the American Academy of Nursing during the organization's annual Health Policy Conference in Washington, D.C., this October.
