Leader Schumer Statement On The Trump Administration Asking The Supreme Court To Enable Its Voter Suppression

New York, N.Y.- Today, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) released the following statement after the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to allow mail voting limits in its latest attempt to destroy the integrity of the American electoral process:

"Trump is asking the Supreme Court to take a huge leap to destroy the precious integrity of the American electoral process. The Court should not accelerate a case that so poisons our democracy.

"Americans are fed up with Trump, his failed war, and his rising costs. But instead of facing the voters, Trump is trying to make it harder for them to vote and hold him accountable for his horrific agenda.

"Senate Democrats are fighting back on Trump's efforts to cheat in this upcoming election. American voters will pick their leaders - not Donald Trump."
