WASHINGTON - Tonight, Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement after voting on the FY26 continuing resolution.
"Republicans have had over a month to craft a bipartisan budget that meets the basic needs of the American people. Instead, they have rejected negotiations and legislative proposals to prevent massive healthcare cost increases on tens of millions of Americans, including on more than 22,000 of my constituents. In fact, this bill includes provisions, snuck in at the last minute, that would give certain Senators a payout of up to $1 million each. In the meantime, Valley families are struggling to make ends meet," said Congressman Costa.
