WASHINGTON, DC - Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) today marked annual Police Week, as law enforcement leaders and officers visit Washington, highlighting her strong record of support for public safety.
"During Police Week, we honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who put their lives on the line to protect our communities every day and remember all those who have lost their lives in the line of duty," said Congresswoman Pou, a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security. "Since entering Congress last year, I have used my office to support the officers who keep our neighborhoods safe, whether that means fighting for federal funding, backing legislation that helps local departments, or making sure our police have the tools and resources they need to do their jobs. Their service and sacrifice strengthen communities across America and we owe them our gratitude and support."
