The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) discusses strategic investment opportunities with the Qassim Chamber of Commerce

To promote Arab food security and explore further investment opportunities, His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), and his accompanying delegation visited the Qassim Chamber, where they met with His Excellency Ali bin Sulaiman Al-Muqbil, Chairman of the Chamber, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Hannaya, Secretary General, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two sides, with His Excellency Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi emphasising that the Saudi market is one of the most attractive markets for agricultural and food investment due to its economic stability and legislative development, in addition to its low level of risk. He also affirmed that AAAID views the Al-Qassim Chamber as a strategic partner and a hub for businessmen in a region distinguished by its geographical location, infrastructure and major agricultural resources.

The Chairman of the Chamber also emphasised that the Al-Qassim region represents a balanced development model that combines agricultural and commercial heritage with industrial capabilities, as well as modern opportunities in the fields of logistics and supply chains. He explained that the Chamber seeks to activate strategic partnerships with local, regional and international entities to generate sustainable investment opportunities that support the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in diversifying the economic base and enhancing food security.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Qassim Chamber reviewed the most prominent features of the investment region, noting the unlimited support of the wise leadership and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mishaal Bin Saud Bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Al-Qassim Region, which contributed to the development of infrastructure supporting productive sectors and made the region an attractive environment for local and international investment.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to sign a cooperation agreement between the two sides and provide AAAID with available investment opportunities, especially in the fields of dates and red meat.
