DENVER - Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI), in collaboration with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Lakin Tire Waste, a tire removal and recycling company, is hosting a free tire collection event on Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the DOTI Central Platte Campus,1271 W Bayaud Ave.
Denver residents can conveniently drop off up to nine (9) tires per vehicle to be recycled. Rims and other contamination (e.g., dirt, debris) must be removed from tires. All tires collected will be shredded and used in rubberized asphalt, mulch, playground surfaces, athletic turf, and tire-derived alternative fuel.

When: Saturday, August 15, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. or until capacity is reached
Where: Central Platte Campus - 1271 W Bayaud Ave, Denver, CO 80223.

What is accepted:
Please Note:Tires only, no other waste allowed. No heavy equipment or tractor tires will be accepted. Tire shops and commercial operations cannot drop off any tires at this event.
