These messages may reference current events or create a sense of urgency, fear, or curiosity to prompt quick action. Even if a message appears to come from a trusted source, take a moment to verify before clicking links, sharing information, or responding. Slowing down and questioning unexpected communications is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and the university.
