Popular Repair Café OC event returns July 26
The public can bring broken items to fix on the spot with the help of volunteers during the next Repair Cafe OC event from 1 to 4:30 pm on Sunday, July 26 at the Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
This initiative promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things away. Bring your broken lamps, bikes with a wobble or jeans with a hole - and repair volunteers will help you fix them.
Volunteers are sought from 12:30 to 5:30 pm and can sign up at this link.
Neighbors with items in need of repair don't need to pre-register. All items are repaired on a walk-in basis, with last item accepted at 4 pm. The event takes place in the community center's Sycamore A room.
