City Lifts Fire Ban in Greater Sudbury

Effective immediately, the City of Greater Sudbury has lifted the fire ban declared June 6, 2026. The fire hazard has improved with sufficient rain in the forecast.

While campfires, chiminea fireplaces, crop residue fires and other types of outdoor burning are permitted, be safe and cautious around any outdoor fires, never leave a fire unattended and always have a way to extinguish it close by.

The City continues to closely monitor the fire hazard status and will inform residents should the fire ban be reinstated.
