LIMA, Ohio (Oct. 24, 2025) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 11988, is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects:
ALLEN COUNTY
U.S. 30 & State Route 309 bridge maintenance (PID:119054)
ODOT is proposing to seal the decks of various bridges throughout Allen County including:
Construction is anticipated to occur in the spring of 2027.
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures at State Route 309; vehicular traffic will be temporarily detoured. Full road closures and detours are not expected at the other locations, though lane closures will occur. Access for local traffic to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Work at this location will occur in a regulated floodplain. Impacts to this floodplain are anticipated to be minor and result in no rise in localized flood levels. A statement of findings detailing the results of the final floodplain analysis will be made available on the project website:

HANCOCK COUNTY
State Route 12 culvert replacement (PID: 123579) - ODOT is proposing to replace the culvert carrying Rocky Ford under State Route 12 between the city of Findlay and village of Arcadia.
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures. Vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2028.

DISTRICT WIDE
Interstate 75 resurfacing and bridge maintenance (PID:116704) - ODOT is proposing to resurface Interstate 75 between Bible Road and East Hanthorn Road on the east side of the city of Lima. Additional work includes sealing the decks of various bridges throughout Allen and Hancock Counties.
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures for many bridge locations, generally 2-3 days long. Vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction. A list of bridges anticipated to close is available on the project webpage.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2027.
Work at some of these structures will occur within the boundary of a regulated floodplain. Impacts to these floodplains are anticipated to be minor and result in no rise in localized flood levels.
