The Riverside Company Partners with AssetIntel to Bridge the Future of Infrastructure Tech

The Riverside Company (Riverside), a global investment firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has invested in AssetIntel, a leading provider of infrastructure inspection and asset management software for owners of critical transportation infrastructure assets.

Founded in 2016, AssetIntel delivers mission-critical software that enables state departments of transportation (DOTs), federal agencies, transit authorities, and municipalities to inspect, manage, and plan for their critical infrastructure assets such as bridges, tunnels, dams, and railways. The company's platform serves as an inventory listing, workflow, and compliance system of record - often maintaining years of historical inspection records, asset condition trends, and deterioration data - making the company a critical partner for its customers. AssetIntel holds FedRAMP/GovRAMP and SOC 2 Type 2 certifications, reinforcing its position as a trusted, long-term partner within the highly regulated public sector environments that it serves.

"AssetIntel operates as a system of record that helps asset owners inspect and maintain critical infrastructure assets amid increasing federal regulatory complexity and growing demand for data-driven asset management," said Riverside Managing Partner Loren Schlachet. "The company has a compelling value proposition and a history of exceptional customer retention and strong growth."

Riverside will partner with AssetIntel's leadership team to help scale the business through continued organic growth, product innovation, and selective strategic acquisitions. Riverside Senior Partner Joe Manning and Riverside Principal Chris Shea added, "We are excited to have formed this partnership with AssetIntel, which sits at the intersection of Gov Tech and Construction Tech, two areas where we have been an active investor for over a decade. During our partnership, we anticipate expanding into additional infrastructure asset classes, expanding product offerings, and offering solutions to a broader set of customers. We see significant potential to expand the company's market reach and accelerate growth through both product innovation and M&A."

"Since founding AssetIntel, our mission has been to modernize how transportation agencies inspect, manage, and plan for critical infrastructure assets," said AssetIntel CEO Hooman Parvardeh. "We are excited to partner with Riverside as we continue expanding our platform, supporting additional infrastructure asset classes, and helping infrastructure owners modernize and strengthen their asset management operations."

AssetIntel is another example of Riverside's expertise in working with businesses within the Software and IT sector. The firm has completed more than 300 platform and add-on investments in this specialization and has a team of global experts dedicated to growing companies in this space.

Working with Schlachet, Manning, and Shea on the deal for Riverside were Assistant Vice President Tom Hillebrecht, Associate Megan Dorogi, Analyst Aneesh Bafna, Operating Partner Jim Murphy and Finance Director Chrissie Yim.
