Changes to TPA Parking coming this summer

With future capacity in mind, the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board members on Thursday approved a parking rate adjustment scheduled to go into effect on August 4.

Tampa International Airport is the 27^th-largest airport in the United States by passenger volume but has some of the lowest parking rates among the nation's top 30 airports. This is while offering a higher quality of services and facilities than those airports, such as Short- and Long-Term parking facilities near the Main Terminal and an Economy Parking Garage serviced by an automated train.

The Board voted to raise daily maximum rates at all three garages by $4 per day starting August 4. The Short Term Garage will cost a maximum of $32 per 24 hours, with Long Term and Economy moving to $26 per day and $22 per day, respectively.

All garages will also simplify how hourly rates are calculated and will offer the first hour of parking for free, including the Economy Garage, which currently only offers the first 15 minutes free of charge.

The last time the Board approved a parking rate adjustment was in February 2023.
