Meeting with the Ambassador of Ireland in Rome
Ambassador Martin Selmayr and his Team had a good meeting with the great team of Elisabeth McCullough, Ambassador of Ireland in Rome in Villa Europa.
Ireland will take over the presidency of the EU Council in Brussels from 1 July to 31 December 2026, and Ambassador Selmayr looks forward to the sense of unity, partnership and collegiality they intend to insert in our common EU action.
The Rome-based UN Organisations will be an excellent place to demonstrate the EU's unwavering commitment to multilateralism, international law and international humanitarian law.
