Grand Prairie Farmers Market Adjusts Hours Due to Heat

Published on August 12, 2026

The Grand Prairie Farmers Market will close one hour early throughout August due to forecasted extreme heat.

Beginning August 15, the market will be open 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, instead of its normal closing time.

Shoppers are encouraged to head to the market early in the morning when temperatures are expected to be cooler and conditions more comfortable.

Attendees are also encouraged to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and look out for one another while enjoying the market.

The market will return with extended hours on Saturday, Sept. 5, for Pickle Fest, taking place in Downtown Grand Prairie. The Farmers Market will be open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day.
