Judiciary Committee Advances Judicial Nominations for Seventh Circuit and Four District Courts, Along with Nominations for the Director of National Drug Control Policy and Five U.S. Attorneys

WASHINGTON - The Senate Judiciary Committee today advanced the following nominations:

  • Rebecca L. Taibleson, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit, by a vote of 12-10;
  • David A. Bragdon, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina, by a vote of 12-10;
  • Lindsey Ann Freeman, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina, by a vote of 15-7;
  • Matthew E. Orso, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina, by a vote of 14-8;
  • The Honorable Susan Courtwright Rodriguez, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina, by a vote of 17-5;
  • Sara Carter Bailey, to be Director of National Drug Control Policy, by a vote of 12-10;
  • Braden Boucek, to be United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, by a vote of 12-10;
  • Dominick Gerace II, to be United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, by a vote of 16-6;
  • Jerome Francis Gorgon, Jr., to be United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, by a vote of 20-2;
  • Bryan Stirling, to be United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina, by a vote of 17-5; and
  • Thomas Wheeler II, to be United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana, by a vote of 12-10.
