WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 9, 2025) - The MBA Opens Doors Foundation (Opens Doors) today announced it received $3,118,000, against a $2.8M goal, in corporate and individual donations during its Annual Appeal fundraising campaign for fiscal year 2026. The proceeds will support the Foundation's mission of helping vulnerable families with critically ill or injured children stay in their homes while their child is in treatment.
"It is gratifying to witness such strong support from our industry for families struggling to care for a critically ill or injured child and make their housing payments," said Debra W. Still, Vice Chairman, Pulte Financial Services and Chairman of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation. "In a market that continues to challenge us all, knowing that more than $3.1M will go to families who need our help to stay in their homes is something our industry can be proud of."
Over the two-day campaign on September 22-23rd, Opens Doors received pledges from 46 companies and 44 individuals, totaling nearly $3.1 million. Eight companies pledged $100,000 or more in support, led by CMG Financial, which pledged $600,000, followed by Radian Guaranty and Pennymac, who pledged $200,000 each. Additional companies pledging $100,000 or more were: Arch MI, Mr.Cooper, Freedom Mortgage, Lennar Mortgage, and Amerihome Mortgage, a Western Alliance Bank Company. Two companies pledged $75,000, including ICE Mortgage and Pulte Financial Services, while 25 other companies pledged $25,000 or more. Personal pledges totaled $543,000.
"I am deeply grateful that Opens Doors will start 2026 on solid ground," said Deborah E. Dubois, President of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation. "In the new year, we will cross the 20,000 families helped threshold. Doing so is a milestone achievement for an industry that has weathered significant ups and downs yet maintained its unwavering support for families navigating a health crisis."
The Foundation invites individuals and companies across the real estate finance industry and beyond to pledge their support. Contributions of $25,000 or more from companies and $10,000 or more from individuals will be recognized at the MBA's 2025 Annual Convention and Expo in Las Vegas on October 19-22. They will receive prominent signage and acknowledgment during a premier general session. Supporters will also receive customized recognition materials and will be featured in an MBA press release.
MBA Opens Doors Foundation has provided more than $28 million in mortgage and rental payment assistance to nearly 18,500 families since its founding in 2011, making it a critical part of a family's support structure while their child is in treatment. Grants of up to $2,000 are made monthly to families with a child in treatment at one of the Foundation's network of 13 children's hospitals.
