Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin Meets with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China Nuryshev Shakhrat

On September 19, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China Nuryshev Shakhrat at the latter's request, and they exchanged views on the development of China-Kazakhstan relations.

Liu Bin noted that President Xi Jinping and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met twice this year in Astana and Tianjin, charting a new course and making new arrangements for the future development of China-Kazakhstan relations. China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to earnestly deliver on the important common understandings reached between the heads of state, deepen cooperation in various fields, strengthen cooperation within such frameworks as the China-Central Asia mechanism and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and continuously elevate China-Kazakhstan relations to new heights.

Nuryshev Shakhrat congratulated China on successfully hosting the SCO Summit in Tianjin and the commemoration on September 3, and expressed gratitude to China for the warm and friendly reception provided to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his visit to China. He said the Kazakh side will work together with the Chinese side to translate the common understandings reached between the heads of state into concrete cooperation outcomes and consolidate the sound development momentum of bilateral relations.
