In 2025, UNICEF Maldives advanced results for children through iprogramming that connected national policy priorities with community-level action. Through initiatives such as Kudhinnaa Gaathun, UNICEF strengthened place-based delivery across islands, bringing together health, education, protection, and participation to address complex child and adolescent challenges. Significant progress was made in education transformation, strengthening protection and justice systems for children, mental health policy, disability inclusion, youth participation and multi-sectoral dialogue and collaboration. Across all efforts, UNICEF prioritized system strengthening, youth engagement, and evidence-driven advocacy to ensure that the most vulnerable children are reached, supported, and protected-leaving no child behind.
