Solid Waste Services Operating Normally During Thanksgiving Holiday

Published on November 14, 2025

The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will continue its regularly scheduled garbage, recycling, and bulky trash collection services on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, 2025, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Residents with Thursday or Friday collection days-including those on a second and fourth Thursday or Friday recycling schedule-are reminded to place items curbside 12 to 24 hours prior to pickup. All materials must be placed on the public right-of-way and kept at least five (5) feet away from objects such as utility poles, vehicles, and mailboxes. Bulky items must be placed separately from garbage and recycling and must not be placed inside green garbage or blue recycling carts.

City of Miami residents may also dispose of bulky items at the Mini Dump Facility, located at 1290 NW 20th St., Miami, FL 33142. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Proof of City of Miami residency is required.
