Lindsey Street Gas Line Relocation

June 17, 2026

Westbound lane closure in place for two weeks

On Wednesday June 17, 2026, Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) notified the City of Norman of a potential safety hazard at Lindsey within the roadway between Pickard Avenue and Flood Avenue, resulting in an immediate lane closure of the westbound lane in the area. ONG estimates that this lane will need to be closed for a duration of 2 weeks. The travelling public is asked to follow the traffic control devices during this temporary closure.

The safety hazard issue occurred as utility relocation work is underway, in preparation for the Lindsey Street Special Corridor Project from Pickard Avenue to Elm Avenue. Additional information on this project and relevant traffic advisories will be shared to Normanok.gov as progress is made.
