DGA Statement on South Carolina GOP Primary Results

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Alan Wilson becoming the Republican nominee for governor in South Carolina:

"In South Carolina, costs are too high, health care is too inaccessible, and schools are failing - and Alan Wilson would just make things worse. Wilson opposes Medicaid expansion, has repeatedly defended the state's extreme abortion ban, and is part of the same group of insiders who have failed South Carolina. South Carolinians are eager for change, but Wilson just means more of the same extreme status quo that rewards those in power and leaves everyone else with higher costs."
