SACRAMENTO, CA - Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra) is proud to share the advancement and signing of legislation in the 2025 legislative session. These legislative achievements reflect his commitment to expanding educational opportunity, increasing affordable housing, and strengthening workforce development in California.
"These legislative wins reflect the priorities that I have advocated for since entering elected office - supporting students and all communities across California," said Assemblymember Mike Fong. "Every bill in this package is rooted in the belief of the power and promise of education. Whether it is ensuring internship opportunities, or improving student housing access, these bills are designed to build a more inclusive state. I am grateful to all of my colleagues, community leaders, sponsors, and most importantly, Governor Newsom, for sharing the vision of my bill package."

Assemblymember Fong also introduced AB 467 to extend teleconferencing access for Los Angeles neighborhood councils; however, the proposal was later incorporated into Senator Durazo's SB 707, which was signed by the Governor. The extension provides continued access to community members who would otherwise not be able to participate in Los Angeles City neighborhood councils due to barriers such as transportation, child care, or other physical limitations.
