Monroe County Executive Adam Bello today announced today that information on both the SNAP federal funding delay and the new work requirements is available on the Monroe County website, www.monroecounty.gov. Individuals, non-profit organizations and the media can access posters, flyers, and social media graphics in English and Spanish that they can use to share this important information with anyone who needs it.

"It is unfortunate that the delay in SNAP benefits and the new work requirements are happening at the same time," said County Executive Bello. "We hope the toolkit will make it easier for people to understand what they need to do to secure food assistance, and to keep their SNAP once funding is restored."

There is a "SNAP Information" graphic on the Monroe County home page that can be used to access information on both the delay and on the new work requirements for Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD), including a link to a screening tool where individuals can find out if they are subject to those requirements.

The SNAP Communications Toolkit can be found at the bottom of that page, monroecounty.gov/snap-abawd-changes.
